The Motoscape Rally covered 10 counties in 7 days, with highlights including the famous Stelvio Pass as well as the less well known, but arguably more challenging Vrsic pass in Slovenia.
By the time we got home we had visited 13 countries and covered a total of 2809 miles in a 46 year old MGB roadster. Mechanical maladies were nothing more than an adjustment to points gap and fuel mixture, although we did lose a wheel weight over rough roads in the Czech Republic, resulting in more vibration than usual at certain speeds.
Other cars suffered from overheating, no brakes, transmission problems, bearing failures and other mechanical maladies, but the majority made it back one way or another, although perhaps not quite in the same shape as the original manufacturers intended.

As well as being a fun challenge, we completed the rally to support Help for Heroes, a charity that provides practical, direct support for our wounded serviceman and is particularly relevant to our home county of Wiltshire. With support from local businesses and friends in Burbage we raised over £3500.
